Talk to the guys who'll actually turn the wrenches

Streetcar Shenanigans is run by Nick and Dan — when you call, you're talking to the people building and tuning the cars, not a service writer reading a screen.

No mystery

What happens after you reach out

You're not dropping a message into a void. Here's exactly how it works.

01

We call you back

Within one business day, Nick or Dan calls to talk through your car — current setup, goals, budget range, timeline. Fifteen honest minutes beats fifteen emails.

02

We map the combo

We tell you what the combination actually needs to hit your goal — and what it doesn't. If the schedule's full or the job isn't a fit for us, we'll say so straight.

03

The work gets proven

Builds and tunes get strapped to the in-house dyno before they leave. You get real numbers — and on major builds, video of your car making them.

Worth the drive from anywhere in Chicagoland

We're at 77 McMillen Rd, Suite 105, Antioch, IL 60002 — up near the Wisconsin line, an easy shot from Lake County, Kenosha, and the northern Chicago suburbs.

Fair warning: we're not the cheapest wrench in Lake County, and we don't pretend to be. We're a tight shop that only takes on builds we can stand behind.

Questions we get a lot

Ford and Chevrolet performance is where we live: Foxbody and S197/S550 Mustangs, Terminator Cobras, Coyote swaps, boosted streetcars and trucks, and stick-shift drag builds. If your project is in that world, you're in the right shop — if it's not, call anyway and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.

We race what we build — Sick Week, Drag Week, Stick Shift Challenge, no-prep. Your car gets treated like one of ours, and on major builds the work is documented on video so you can see exactly what was done, not just read an invoice.

It depends entirely on the combo — a bolt-on-and-tune package is a very different job than a full drag-radial build or a 427ci SBF stroker. Tell us the car, the goal, and the budget range on the phone and we'll give you a straight answer on what it takes, including the supporting mods people forget to budget for.

Yes. The dyno is in-house and we run testing and tuning sessions for boosted and naturally aspirated combos — boost control, MAT monitoring, and EFI calibration. Call or use the form and pick "Dyno Tuning" so we can schedule the right block of time for your setup.

We prep and support customer cars for Sick Week, Drag Week, Stick Shift Challenge, and no-prep events — and we've been in those lanes ourselves, so your car gets set up by people who know what surviving a week of full pulls and highway miles actually requires.
